I had NO idea how difficult it was to get rid of them!
The thought of something sucking on your blood during the night and infesting your entire house grosses me out!

Any thought I may have had of purchasing a used bed or sleep sofa is out the window!

Anyone had any experiences with them?

2. Just saw a bit on tv about them that freaked me out!
I tore my bed apart, washed everything, and vacuumed and sprayed! I've never been bit...I don't know anyone who's had really bad infestation.

:scared:

last year... God it was disgusting. I would have taken pics, but was too grossed out.

They are making a huge comeback even in America.

Fortunately it's clean as a whistle.

Dang, I hope I never get them.

7. I Got Some Bites Once
I stayed at a very nice Marriot Courtyard in the Kansas City area. I noticed the bites after I got home and looked it up on the internet and sure enough, that's what it was. YUCK!!! Luckily, they didn't come home with me!

10. I live in fear of getting bedbugs.
I've read too much about them on the internet and how impossible they are to get rid of. When I go to hotels, the first thing I do when I walk in the room is pull back the sheets to check the mattress.

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they AREN'T out to get you...

11. We though we did but phew! False alarm!
They are taking over in NYC, especially in Manhattan and parts of Brooklyn, where we live. The entomologists say that bedbugs will outlive even cockroaches - they are the new up-and-coming pests. Very very difficult to eradicate too, as they are flat and can squeeze into the tiniest cracks in furniture - they will even set up house inside your clock radio and electrical outlets. They can go for 8 months without eating and lay their eggs everywhere. I was so freaked out when I thought we had them that I did a major extermination project. I put all my clothes/sheets/shoes in the freezer at work for 48 hours, did a major spraying and vacuuming of the bedroom, and covered the mattress, box springs, and pillows with special bug proof covers. I will never buy any piece of used furniture (or anything else from a stoop sale) ever again.
