Millie is having her teeth cleaned today

Probably not a big deal for most pet owners, but my Millie is asthmatic, and that creates issues for anesthesia.

I'm sure she'll be fine, but let me tell you, just getting her to the vet's nearly puts her into respiratory distress (she HATES the carrier and HATES the car EVEN MORE).

Let's hope whatever they need to do they can get it done today.

1. Oh the agony of taking a cat to a vet.
I have old cats and I'm always afraid one of them will have a heart attack in the car. I do know how you feel. I'm sure all will go well with cute little Millie. Let us know how she/you did, OK?

2. I have a smart kitty, except for the carrier
I put it down on the ground, open, and he walks in every time. :D

4. I take the carrier out 2 days in advance.
The run when they see it. Then they think nothing of it because I don't go right for them, and it sits out for a couple of days.

This morning I sat in my recliner to put my shoes on, and Millie jumped in my lap as she does when I sit to watch TV. That's when I put her in the carrier.

The look of heartbreak was almost too much to bear.

3. Ohh, my Millie Dear is the same way.
She has panic attacks if she's ever taken out of my bedroom. That's her territory and no force on earth will get her to willingly leave it. :(

I hope it goes well. Good thoughts for your Millie!

5. UPDATE: she's ready to be picked up
No teeth needed pulling. Just a general cleaning.

I'm sure she's pretty upset anyway, but I'm glad she's doing well.
