I lost my checkbook last week
My Grandparents came home from the grocery and my Grandmother casually asked me,"Are you going to write me a check?" I stuttered and stammered because I didn't want them to know I lost my checkbook. Finally I said,"How much do I owe you?"..(they got some stuff for me from the store.) She said,"How are you going to write me a check when I have your checkbook"? And she whips it out of her purse. I left the book in their car. My Grandmother can have a mean streak going on sometimes. She's 81. :-) I was very relieved to get my checkbook back. I didn't want to have to call the back and cancel my account and set up a new one. I had my Identity stolen once and I know it's a big pain in the ass!

3. Yeah, she's pretty cool
She still drinks bourbon and water on Friday and Saturday nights. Why she only drinks on those nights is beyond me,she's been retired for 20 years.

4. She scolded me for it not being in balance.
I use my debit card for 99% of my purchases and track my balance online. The only time I use my checkbook is when I take it with me to the bank for the account number on it. My Grandparents like to get their rent in cash.
