Thank God I can start hating the Yankees again...
...it;s been very frustrating for a Red Sox fan, these past 12 years...Joe Torre was/is such a class act, that while I could root against the Yankees...I couldn't *hate* them...and God, what a torment that's been. In fact--there were times when, once the Sawx were eliminated...*I found myself wanting the Yankees to win*!!!!! Well, thank God--that horrible prospect will never haunt my dreams again... Jesus. *Two* Steinbrenner children...that isn't quite as bad as the Bush twins, but it's close...

1. Funny you say that.
Even though I'm a Yankee fan through-and-through, since 04, when the so-called Curse was lifted, I root for the Sox to win when the Yanks aren't in it. And I think a lot of that stems from Francona. He seems like a clasy guy to me.

2. I'm neither a Red Sox or a Yankees fan.
But you cant argue with Torre, he was a great manager. And I think the Yankees tried to screw him in that deal. It sucks, but it's business.
