What chore is it you detest the most?
I just cleaned the entire house...But the ONE thing I HATE is folding the laundry....I don't know why...I just do. I'd rather have a bullet removed from my butt with a carvel spoon than fold clothes...What task is it that sends you over the edge?

4. weeding the garden
I know some people call it "therapeutic" but they're crazy or lying. I don't mind doing laundry; I am a perfectionist about it. I like food shopping cuz I like visiting food in the supermarket.

weeding, no. I have to put on those nasty garden gloves and get sore in my back from stooping over to get those weeds. And back they come in about a week...

41. So I thought it would be nice to plant a little flowering bush
So I hauled the 40 lb bag of bad smelling manure and the other stuff you have to use before you plant the bush. I took out the dead one and started to dig. And guess what: CONNECTICUT SOIL IS FULL OF BIG ROCKS! Bad enough that it was hot and humid, now I'm yanking out these small boulders. Eventually, the thing got planted and I had an unwanted collection of rocks lying around my landscaping.

End of story: the bush I planted also died. I have given up. Now not only have I killed every house plant I ever had, I kill outside, too!

Now I hire this kid in the neighborhood to do the weeding, but I gotta hire "a guy" who works at the plant place to wrestle in a new bush. Good thing winter is coming...

21. Folding is terrible but
The very worst thing -- and I don't know why... I HATE PUTTING THE LAUNDRY AWAY. It's as if I have some mental block that happens - I will do the laundry, fold it and then let it sit where it is.

I am a PIG when it comes to this.

It may cause a divorce.

I hate me for this one, single thing!!!!!!

37. I was the same way until I went through all the drawers and donated what wasn't usually worn.
I had more room, it was easier to put away. It really fixed my problem.

Now, if your dresser is empty and you still don't like to put clean clothes away, then I'm not sure I can help.

I personally hate hanging things in the closet. Hangers get caught in each other, etc. That's my new "hang-up" (pun LOL):P

28. Mine's laundry related
I don't mind folding clothes, shirts/pants, or hanging them up, or even washing them...what I don't like is putting socks together...

Especially my wife's...she has so many socks, so many different shades of black/grey/blue, its an utter pita to get them right...so, I hardly ever do her socks....unless they are easy matches(which, she does have a handful which are easy to match)....of course, when I do match all her socks, I do get the evil eye, when some of my matches don't meet her expectations....

Folding is so booooring and it takes so long and when you're done, all you have is some folded clothes.

And poop scooping the cat box and replacing the litter is just messy and disgusting.

36. I hate cleaning the guinea pig cage
My stepdaughter lived with us for a year and moved in with her one 5 year old guinea pig (along with her ferrets and dog). She thought the guinea pig was, shall we say, soon to shuffle off this mortal coil. Heck, so did I when I saw the skin and bones piece of fur she brought in the house. Well, the darn pig not only didn't die, but she gained weight and perked up and began eating again. So what does stepdaughter do but buy her a companion. When she moved out to her own place, she left us with the guinea pigs for our (then) 2 year old. So, now its been a good 3 years, I still have the original two guinea pigs, one who is now way up there in guinea pig years too. About 6 months ago it once again looked like she was on her way out, but my husband gave her a bath, put her out in the fresh air and sunshine for a day and darned if the pig didn't perk right up again and go back to eating (and defecating) like, well, a pig. Did I mention that I hate cleaning the guinea pig cage?

House cleaning chores, that is. I live on a ranch - I love the outside chores. Love to feed the animals and clean the barn, even fix fence. Garden stuff is fine, even vehicle maintenance.

Actually I don't mind doing laundry - and I use a clothesline, but dishes, dusting, vacuuming, scrubbing toilets, etc etc etc... bleh.

I don't mind doing the dishes, sweeping and mopping the floor, cleaning the bathrooms, cleaning the guinea pig cages, even windows.
