1. try googling it with your city name -- I found it at a gas station
but there were also a couple liquor stores that sold it

14. well, crap...
Hi there! :hi:

First, thanks for the link!

Second, thanks for the link! Because I learned that my purchase of dry ice was wasteful. I learned from the link you posted that I cannot! put dry ice directly into my bowl of Swamp Water Punch.

Let it be a lesson to you, Bertha: don't believe everything you read on the internets. Especially on blood-dripping Halloween sites. Those people don't care if they die from consuming the chips of dry ice that could flake off in the beverage. :(

:hi:

23. Probably better safe than sorry...
... so you should follow their advice. Still, my personal experience says that it goes great in drinks. Open a can of Mountain Dew, drink about 1/4 of it, and then drop a couple little chunks of dry ice in it. It will foam and fizz like crazy, but after about a minute you have a very carbonated Mountain Dew slushy. My favorite way to drink it. :)

8. That would be my first place to check
there are several local ice cream parlors that use dry ice to pack their to go orders, and make the dry ice available for purchase as well.

9. Only the most vile terrorist-supporting businesses.
:P

I used to get mine at an ice house - the kind of places at which one can get great big blocks and humongous bags of ice.

10. You can usually just pick it up at the supermarket if you ask.
I know that, here in Florida, it's available at most Publix locations.

discover that MY supermarket traded in such a dangerous item.

21. HI!
Thank you for your alert level graphic. So far that's my favorite joke on that system. Except for a Lukovich (I think) cartoon, which came out shortly after the alert level thing did: a couple's watching TV. One of them says "Oh, wait, Tom Ridge is about to announce tomorrow's alert level." On the TV you can see Ridge digging in a bag of M&Ms.

but it's easier to go to Publix (grocery store) to get it.
