Well the Maestros have taken in yet another stray cat!
C'mon people, spay and neuter your cats and dogs. In the meantime, we have taken in this gray tabby. She has a wonderful personality. She's extremely friendly, outgoing and playful! She's 9wks old according to the vet. She has some roundworms for which she is taking medicine. She also received all her shots today. Here are a few pics!

And our other recent addition to the family is a bit more of an independent type. You play with her when she deems interaction with humans necessary. At present, she is trying to size up the new little one. She's a pretty calico

Our poor dog, just doesn't know what to do. She avoids the cats like the plague.

35. ROFL
I used to have a tabby named Cairo who was the same. And he was LOUD!!! He literally would drown out people on the phone...
This is how it went
*Ring*
Me; "Hello?"
Cairo: MWROOOW!!!MRROOOW!!!
Me:"Pardon me for a moment..*covers phone*--Shut up, Cairo!!!
Me: Okay sorry for the cat....
Literally, this exact conversation happened at least 20 times, maybe more....:eyes:

I especially can't stand the trade in birds that are uprooted from their habitat such as the Amazon and then spend time in someone's living room.

47. Amen to that!
I hate reading about the new breeds of cats that they're making by crossing wild ones with domesticated ones. People say, "Oh, they won't be happy living inside because they're part wild..." but is *any* animal happy living inside with only humans for company? The fish are probably the worst. I'd bet that a good number of house fish have gone completley insane. And people say, "Oh, it's just an animal, it doesn't think like us so it doesn't mind..." Human supremacy is no less of a myth than white supremacy.

Welcome to DU, by the way. Is a Seuss Tree the big thing with the pink/orange top that the Lorax spoke for? :hi:

she's a babydoll. I just took in an 8 week old kitten, well now he's around 9 and a half weeks old too but he seems alot smaller than her. (pics to follow, our digital camera broke so I'm taking pics of him with a disposable)

Ya'll are great for taking her in!!

I agree with you wholeheartedly on the spaying and neutering........ It beyond comprehension how many stray dogs and cats there are out there due to irresponsible so called pet owners.

18. How about Faith, Gracie or Lucky?
My beloved Kittyboy was a grey tabby just like her. I got him when he was two years old. I got such a warm smile looking at her cause I just imagined Kittyboy looking like that as a kitten. He is gone now but is forever in my heart and in an urn at home :)

Patches is very easy picture. She is very photogenic. I too love her eyes. I miss my birds. Things have been slow bird-wise. However, work has really kept me away from the camera and birding along with a nasty cold/virus I have been fighting for the last week and a half. Hopefully, soon I will have some new bird pics to share. Thanks for the nice comments.

37. AWWWWW, what a cute little girl!
Looks like my twins, picked up as strays during a traffic stop by the Tennessee Highway patrol. I call them my 200 dollar "free" kitties. That was the fine for driving 70 in a 55mph zone.

Thanks for taking her in Maestro! You are 100% right about spaying & neutering. If people would WAKE THE HELL UP and understand that they have to fix their animals there wouldn't be so many animals that suffer and die due to human stupidity. It is simple & inexpensive to do and if you can't afford to do this one little act of kindness for your pet you shouldn't have one.

We already fixed Patches for something like $65. We have an awesome vet! As soon as Gracie, the grey tabby's official name now, is old enough, she will be fixed too. It is just no worth bringing in more unwanted animals. Thanks for looking.
