8. there
is no excuse for a neighbor not to show some common courtesy. I can see the dog barking for maybe a minute or so before the person realizes, gee, maybe he's done peeing and pooping and I should lt him in before he waked up the neighbors. Then again, maybe they were on the toilet or something lol

10. There's no excuse for letting the dog bark incessantly.
:grr: On numerous occasions, my dogs have insisted in going outside in the wee hours of the morning. They're fine unless they start barking. The instant I hear that, I throw on a robe and some shoes and physically round them up. Works every time.

11. These people are unreal. Dog barks 24/7. They don't let it in the house.
I can't tell you how many times I've called the police, but the last time the young officer suggested calling animal control because he thought the dog looked unwell. So, I did that. This particular dog's bark is really hard to listen to; it sounds like the dog is suffering and I can't stand that.

:( I feel very sorry for the dog, and for you to have to suffer from your neighbors' obvious neglect of the dog.

13. Whats the point of a dog that can't come inside?
Sounds like they didn't really think the whole pet thing through. Please don't kill the dog! Maybe you could talk with them about getting a bark collar for the pup?

15. Good thing you don't live here.
We're out in the country, but close enough to hear dogs barking. Other dogs barking makes our dogs bark. We got a device that stops them most of the time without shocking them. (http://www.ultimatebarkcontrol.com/ds_Pro.htm) When it's not dogs, it's roosters or cows (yeah, they can bellow!) or donkeys. We've learned to tune it all out. But being in a neighborhood where all is usually quiet would make a dog's barking intolerable.

Take the dog a bone -- that'll keep him quiet for a little while. :hide:

25. You know full well
that you can't go to a field hockey banquet and get the hard stuff. They save the goods for girls softball banquets.

And it's not a stupid dog, it's the stupid dog owner. Maybe your neighbor should get a pit bull. Not big barkers, the pibbles.

26. I can't tell you how sorry I feel for this dog.
They go out and leave it in the backyard in the dark all the friggin' time. The poor thing barks and barks and barks. I think it's scared.

The police have been there. The landlord has been there. Nada. Couple of real assholes, those two.

28. I WISH my former neighbor's pitt hadn't been a 'barker'...
Ox was gorgeous, and friendly to everything but cats (his yodeling 'cat want' noises were hysterical, and the neighborhood felines gave him plenty of space)... but GAWD what a noise, and all day long. Fortunately for the neighborhood, he was in during the nights... but i work 3rd shift, so that didn't help me much.

Now the barking mania comes fromm the retriever-mix on the other side of the house, who has to have prolonged, heated 'conversations' with my goldie, until i preemptively bring mine inside again. Then the neighbor's dog finds something new to bark about.

I may well have to look into one of those sonic anti-bark systems in the near future.

just my opinion.

Now, as to the dog problem, a nice juicy steak will probably shut him/her up.

27. I recommend using a shotgun over a handgun
Far less traceable. With #00 buckshot, there's effectively no ballistics measurements.

Alternatively, a straight razor to the Carotid artery (right side of the neck) is very effective.

30. You can get a barking dog ruling
most towns allow complaints within the judicial system and ultimately the owner ends up in court , and loses the dog if nothing is done.

It would make a much better story for Fox Noise if you went and tossed the dog, while in the buff.

34. The citronella bark-control collar on my dog is really helping.
As long as he has it on, it controls the barking. Even when it's off, he thinks twice. There's hope.
