Globalization is just like Star Trek!
You know, we go to other, unexplored areas and teach them how to improve their way of life so they can prosper! (and teach them Earthy love!)

Mind you, Scotty and McCoy never lost their jobs in the process...

1. That's because they had unions.
Dammit Jim, I'm a doctor, not an elevator. (Union rules specifically state that doctors can only perform doctoral duties.)

Although, originally, the red shirts did not have a union. Consequently, they often ended up fucked!
