Good vibes/thoughts appreciated. He's a nice guy. I was just at a site visit with him yesterday so it's sort of surreal. I wish I had noticed something then but he seemed OK. *sigh* Now I can't really concentrate at work anyway.
You have to wonder if the stress finally got to him. We just had a major regulatory change by our best government buddies the TSA Nov 1 that has really impacted our business. That meeting yesterday was with a customer about their new (stupid-ass) security rules for cargo.
We're a small company so it impacts us more than most. He is nice to work for.
If you can catch a stroke in the first few hours a LOT of damage can often be prevented.
Once they rule out a intracerebral hemorrhage they can start TPA (a clot buster). Patients seen in the first 3 (?) hours of a stroke can have very very good recoveries.
The HR manager noticed him acting odd around 8 AM when he was rolling up to work. he was checking his car for damage b/c he had been swerving around and he commented to a few people about feeling strange. But he was able to brush it off as just feeling sick. Once he started stumbling around and his arm went limp, and slurring his speech, they got him out of here around 10. I hope that's fast enough.
I can't post to the Astro group anymore (guess I'll get my star around Xmas) but can you pass on a request for good vibes to the crew over there? I would appreciate it.
I'm finding out from experience that anyone who pays insurance out of pocket for you -and your spouse -and your kids- and treats you with dignity -deserves hardcore vibes. Some other managers here are eeeevil.
