Negra Modelo
Where has this nectar of the gods been all of my life?

I haven't had a beer in EONS. I am visiting Mexico, and didn't want to start out the trip with anything on the rocks, so took this suggestion from the bartender. I am in LOVE.

:loveya:

That is all. Carry on. :hi:

4. Been drinking that beer since the 80s when I went to Cozumel.
In fact, it is so good, my wife, who detests beer, loves this one. It is a nice Mexican lager brought to Mexico by Austrian immigrants. I usually do not like lagers, I prefer ales, but this one is good!

6. I hope this means that it can be purchased in the US
I am a female who isn't a huge fan of beer, either. This has such an undescrible taste that it could be served with just about anything.

It would be nice to know that it is imported!

10. Yes, commonly.
In Florida, it's found almost anywhere Bud, Miller, Corona, etc are sold.

11. Oh yes, it can be bought here.
You may not be able to find it at just any supermarket but fine wine and beer establishments will certainly have it.

9. I thought it was odd -- Corona and Dos Equis were the two I was familiar with
but they only have the Corona here. Maybe were just out last night.

12. The old bottles were so cool.
They were heavy, and look like they had been half-melted. I only saw those in Mexico in the late '70s.

It is very light for a dark beer. I like it, but I like many, many beers.

18. I didn't think I would like it when they said "dark"
I tried Guiness once. Can't say that one had a lasting positive impression. LOL!

24. You may be a bit early but,
ask if they have "Noche Buena".

It is a seasonal, only available around Christmas, but it's worth a try...

Glad you're enjoying the fantastic, authentic, German beers from Mexico.

What? You didn't know Germans also emigrated to Mexico?
