all the good domain names are taken....WTF!!!!!
i want to start an online biz and every decent relevant .com domain has been taken. most are simply locked, a few actually are live websites. i don't want to have some hard to remember domain name or something that sounds stupid. but it seems i have no choice.

19. Spammers. Like every other evil on the Internet, it's because of evil, lazy, scumsucking
people who think they'll turn an easy buck by spamming something or other...whether it's email, or Google keywords, or domain names.

Just go ahead and misspell "democraticunderground.com" by one letter or so, and see what utter crap you get.

If I were in charge, I'd change things: Domain names would cost $1,000.00 per year to register. That would keep the spammers out.

What kind of biz are you trying t start? I have a self defense biz called 4defense. Numbers are ok but if you can do without, then do without. Try and find one name less then 10 letters or characters. Don't use hyphens unless it's less then 8 characters. I also have a security camera site 4spys. I have a site on saving money called thrifties. My husband has a blog called semipolitical which is a dictionary word. These are all .coms. I use this product and no I don't get any money for promoting them. They used to have a free version which you maybe able to find on a file share. http://www.domainpunch.com/products/dnapro/
