Unbelievable! Sixty degrees and they're lighting their filthy, smelly, stupid ass fireplaces. WTF! My head is gonna explode. So much for Live and Let Live, Easy Does It, and Day At A Time. Every goddamn night, just when the air starts to smell like air in Florida, along comes these morons lighting their fireplaces and making me want to screeeeeeeeeammmmmmmmmmm!

Grrrrrr.

3. Bastards.
Yes. Fireplaces in Florida! Pretentious assholes. There's a guy a few streets over who burns doors. Fucking doors, with paint on them in his pot belly wood stove---in FLORIDA! He shoots armadillo's, too...and raccoons if they go into his yard. Probably burns the carcasses.

4. They're OLD, remember? They get cold easily. I remember visiting my grandfather down there,
and this was a lifelong Northeast Kingdomer, and his house was about 90 degrees. And it couldn't have been more than 65 outside.

But when he lived in Vermont? Never more than about 55 in that house. We got to shiver in the beds at night, listening to the Maine Central trains thunder through town, ot more than 50 feet from the house.

There are actual trees growing up through those train tracks now, it's been so long since the trains have run through that town (Gilman, VT).

But I remember.

12. Don't worry. The railroads will live again.
Perhaps even the old Steam Iron might rise again.

17. 55 is old?
Gimme a break. These people are out all day drinking at the pub, or on the golf course, or cluttering up the supermarket aisles. Then at dinner time, they sit on their lanais and threaten to kill one another (after the fifth martini) then take it out on the lawn and start swinging at eachother. All this while the fireplace is smoking up the neigborhood.

5. Floridians haven't mastered the art of fire yet.
I can't blame them for being frightened of matches and lighter fluid.

10. Its not the fireplace, its the firewood
its hard to find good cured wood in some places. The tree guys sell it too green, and too pricey. I found a good ol' boy though, fills up my truck with good oak for a case of busch and a carton of merits.

Gonna get in the 40's 'round here tomorrow night and into fri

19. That's because mom used to burn all the trash back when they
were growing up in the 30's. Somehow I can't get across to the in-laws that back in the 30's there wasn't any damn plastic in the trash!

15. I just want to rant and repeat what others have already ranted about.
:wtf: What the fuck do they need fireplaces in for in Florida?
What kind of clueless fuck lights a fireplace without cleaning it out first? Dust buildup can catch fire! :grr:
Doesn't that stink up their own homes? Who the hell would do something that stupid if they're going to have to smell the results?

Gaaa! People are pretentious, obnoxious, careless, thoughtless idiots. x(

22. My parents were a bit surprised when they found out that the house we moved into had a fireplace.
I don't think we ever used it though. Especially since birds tended to nest in it. :)
