Biting your tongue

I have been an impeachment activist for about a year now and I work in an office with some right wing vocal assholes. This year I developed on my tongue what is called a Fibrous Irritoid or something like that. A little knot that had to be removed from my tongue. The cause is mostly due to biting your tongue. Everything worked out alright, but in parting my Doctor reminded me not to bite my tongue, and not to dream and bite my tongue.

So I must say, I still have my job, and my health insurance covered all but $50 to remove the knot, as I call it. How should I avoid biting my tongue in the future? Any suggestions?

They were total assholes who thought the world should recognize how utterly cool and superiour they were. I ignored almost completely for 4 years. Every communication was strictly work related and almost always by e-mail.

It was stressful and uncomfortable, but 2 got fired for incompetence, and one quit right ahead of getting fired. I am still there. :)

I don't recommend stoney silence for everyone, but it was satisfying.
