Out here the wind can get bad at times and every time I'm on the road it seems like I'm the only one struggling against the wind. People fly past me as if the wind doesn't faze them at all.

2. The Flintmobile! Seriously
a low profile, heavy vehicle will travel better in high crosswinds, but part of your described experience may be due to insane drivers. I see the same in heavy downpours and blinding snowstorms.

4. I've been really happy with my Volvo...
And I think you're right about the wacko drivers!

6. Yeah I do too.
Heavy rain or snow doesn't stop some people from going all out.

8. Oh god no!
My Caravan and Windstar were both hell in the wind. It was terrible driving them out on the open road when it was windy.

9. A few weeks ago - during the fires and the Santa Ana winds
I was literally terrified of driving more than 35 mph and I am kind of a lead foot normally.

10. I know exactly how you feel.
That is me to a T. Winds like that and I cannot zip along like I normally do at all. It was bad enough on I-35 northbound today. Felt like it was trying to whip me off the road.
