I drive a car to get from point A to point B
not to watch movies. not to read a GPS map or listen to creepy electronic voices. not to be amazed at the dazzling displays in front of my eyes. Not to have swivel seats.

I drive to get from here to there. Therefore, I bought a Toyota Yaris. I love this car.

Am I alone in this world?

1. Yes.
But aren't we all really alone. Alone in our own little world.

Sorry, been in GDP for too long.

2. I'm with ya.
I have a GPS though becuase, as a courier I travel a lot, and often times I don't know where the fuck I'm going, so it helps. Plus the radio is integrated into it, and I get traffic updates.

3. I see your need for GPS, and forgive you!
I'm imagining what that is like - delivering stuff and not knowing addresses, etc

4. With my old car, it was a pain in the ass.
Having the GPS on my new car is fucking sweet. The traffic updates are a HUGE plus, and I love XM Radio.

6. Yes, you are
the rest of us are pod people - Invasion of the Body Snatchers really did come true.

In the White House, at least, anyway.

I have no interest in a fancy car - I have a basic Hyundai Accent. Previous to that, I drove a beater I had for 17 years.

I have a CD system. I'm thrilled about that, because my old car's cassette (yes, cassette) player was broken and I didn't feel it was worth it to put in a stereo, thinking it would die at any moment anyway. That was in it's 10th year - got 7 more years out of the thing with only 2 half decent radio stations to my liking in the city.

I am an a to be person. I don't see a car as a status symbol, but I do often stereotype those on the road because of their vehicles (idiot in a pickup truck, etc) More than often, they don't prove me wrong.

7. Hear hear.
Also: no talking on cel phones if you're incapable of doing so and paying attention to the road at the same time.

Something I've had to yell at my dad about NUMEROUS times the last few days.
