I just had an awful night at work.
I got yelled at, almost accidentally took a man's fingers off, and I didn't get a single break in five hours.

I could just go into a corner and cry.

1. That sounds pretty terrible
Sorry to hear that! I'm glad it's over now.

What do you do?

2. I work at a printing plant.
I'm glad it's over too. Just one more day until the weekend.

3. So no injuries occured?
I'm curious mainly because I'm an RN on a floor that takes care of patients who've had fingers severed. We have a world-famous clinic associated with the hospital that reattaches the fingers or does reconstructive hand surgery.

4. No injuries.
Thank the gods. Close call though.

It would've made things awkward at work if the guy did get injured.

I feel really bad though because he almost did get hurt due to my ignorance.

5. Good. I'm very glad to hear that.
Sounds like they should be providing more training.

In any case, this sounds like one of those times where you just crack open a beer and sit in front of the TV or surf for a while. You deserve a break.

6. The training program at work is virtually nonexistent.

That's something I'm going to bring up to my supervisors before I quit. You'd think they'd know that by now.

Anyways, yeah. I'm going to crack open a beer now. I need one.

Edit: I can't spell.

7. Working at a factory/distribution place ...
I know how hard it is in that atmosphere. You have my full sympathy and yes I know what it means to want to go in a corner in cry. I had a cry break tonight. But right now at the end of the year it gets crazy and on top of that stupid decisions - and you just want to go somewhere and cry. That's why I went on Paxil last year.
