Yep... the holidays are upon us... and again, I go through them
alone

*sigh*

being single in a world of couples can be really icky, especially this time of year.

And yes, I get that it's better than being in a bad relationship

And yes, I do have family and friends who love me

but you know what... it still kinda sucks.

3. Awww
 Don't you have any single friends? I find that I need about 10 good girlfriends to go do all the things I want to do and fun stuff. It's kind of a world of singles too, out there, nowadays.

4. at my age.... no
people my age are not single.

Even those who have been divorced are either on marriage #2 or are coupled up in some form of relationship.

5. I have a similar problem (I'm 39)
and so, actually, I've wound up with an awful LOT of 50+ single women friends. They're good people -- they may not want to go to bars or rock shows with me but they're always good for a trip to a museum! Just a thought -- have you looked into your local Democratic party? that is where I found my current batch of friends.

has been a whole bunch of couples....

7. You won't hear any complaints from me!
There are times when I enjoy being alone, but when it comes to the holidays, that's when I miss my ex the most (though not enough to take him back into my life again).

8. It's been 7 years since I've had someone in my life
Most of the time I'm okay being alone. I love that there's very little compromise involved in my life, but you know... it comes at a price. There are days in everyone's life when they want someone to share it with.

Seven years is a long time to go without that.

10. It's been four years for me
and I'm definitely getting the itch that I want, and need, to be back in a relationship.

9. awww
Been there...and yes it does suck. However, let me tell ya, I was divorced for 9 years...alone...(yes, there was an unhealthy relationship for 2 years during that time....who DOESN'T go throught one of those?)
When you least expect it (believe me, I had just given up on it all)did I meet the most wonderful person and got married. So do NOT give up my dear, it WILL happen, when you least expect it.
