1. One must ALWAYS provide a warning label
That the movie is really old only adds to the comedic effect. (win-win) :hi:

7. It's not the picture per se, but the story behind it.

13. Citizen Kane. If you 'wiki' it, you'll get the drift of it.
I, myself, have never seen it.

9. Somewhere between network TV and public domain.

Star Wars isn't public domain, but I've got no problem revealing "Rosebud" is Luke's dad.

I mean, if somebody has no interest in seeing the movie than it's not really a "spoiler," is it?

10. Bruce Willis is a ghost
I'm sorry, but by now that movie is 10 years old.

And the girl in "The Crying Game"? Yep, she's a he.

And "Titanic"? The ship sunk. Nope, nobody plugged the leak. Sunk to the bottom of the ocean.

I feel much better now.

11. True story - my husband is pretty smart, but he was never into movies as a kid
and reads mostly technical stuff. We were watching Citizen Kane and about half way through she turns to me and says

"I think that that sled was labeled Rosebud."

12. Your husband is a she? Cool!
Also, that's a cool story.

I wasn't aware that the camera angle revealed the surface of the sled prior to the last scene, but I haven't seen the film in quite a while, either.

15. Yeah it pissed me off when people kept telling me how Titanic ended...
I mean, I didn't WANT to know what happens to the ship at the end until I saw the movie!

16. heh. funny, i was working in a bookstore when Titanic came out...
and the number of people who were utterly baffled as to why books about the Titanic were shelved in History would knock your socks off.

17. That sort of thing doesn't surprise me anymore...
At least not after finishing high school and realizing that not ONE of my history classes ever went that far.
