I has a Novocaine flavr

I had a root canal on Tues., and my VERY THOROUGH dentist decided to ensure I felt no pain. Thus he gave me SIX...count them, SIX Novocaine shots. I can still taste it nearly every time I swallow, and it's severely grody. Anyone else ever have Novocaine leeching from their gums 2 days after getting shots? x( :shrug:

1. I hate a root canal a couple of weeks back.
Didn't have that issue, though. He had to shoot lidocaine directly into the nerve which wasn't much fun, but afterwards, I felt nothing.

The worst part, to me, anyway, was having to keep my mouth open for that long. Drool city. Yuck.

2. Did they use a block in your jaw to help you keep it open?
If not, next time ask them. It's beautiful what a difference it makes. :thumbsup:

3. No, but they told me about it. I have to go back to
get the crown, so I am definitely going to use that. My jaw was killing me afterwards.

7. It's really weird..I was expecting much worse
Of course I made them gas me into next week so I don't suppose I would've minded much... :D

It's mostly boring more than anything. :shrug:

Yes, after I had my molars removed. I was also sickened by the painkillers.

Vomit + Novocaine Flava + Pain = Super Fun Times!
