I am just so darn sad today...
Garage sale season is over...

No more filling my trunk with books until the spring...

Maybe I should check out estate sales now

2. Yeah, good source for books to read.
But as far as resale, SA, St. Vinnies and Goodwill have jacked up their prices or are cherry picking the best ones and selling online.

15. REALLY? NO ONE is a better Annie Wilkes than Kathy Bates.
I would think after her amazing role-playing anyone would be disappointed. But what did he not like about it?????

21. He is not happy with the way it was adapted.
Most of Stephen's writing has his essence all through it. The play lacked a lot of him, so it sort of fell flat, although the acting was very, VERY good. The woman who played Annie made you forget all about Kathy Bates.

I was impressed with the set, but it really is a difficult story to tell in 1-3/4 hours.

However, Tale of Two Cities, which has been playing here for a few months may make it to Broadway. Tickets here have been sold out for months. There are NO seats available and the entire town is talking about it.

14. AT LEAST 3000. They're doubled up on the shelves.
And stacked 3 deep in the closet. I'm eating "Silence of the Lambs" by Thomas Harris today.

24. That's always a good idea...
The gentleman whom i dealt with for years in Charlotte (the late Haze Honeycutt, of Dilworth Books) traveled the entire eastern seaboard, scrounging through books that were part of estates in the process of liquidation.

I lived for the calls i would get... " Ms. ThinkBlue, i found something i think YOU, of all my friends, would most appreciate...".

Those calls involved everything from pre-1900 reprintings of Dante and Milton (with lush Dore' illustrations) to early printings of modern fiction (like a 1st US printing of "Lady Chatterly's Lover").

*sighs*
