Over 200 channels on television....
and not a single decent thing on tonight. Unbelievable...hell, I remember when I was growing up...there was only 4 channels to watch...and we were satisified with those choices. God, we're spoiled today. Well, I've somehow turned into Grumpy Old Man. :-)

I suspect a trip to the video store is in order soon.

3. Of those choices, I'd choose Knocked Up.
I have no desire to see the other one. Ugh.

But thanks for the recommendations. :-)

4. for you and everyone else tired of nothing on TV
BRUCE
57 CHANNELS (AND NOTHIN' ON)©
Album's version

I bought a bourgeois house in the Hollywood hills
With a truckload of hundred thousand dollar bills
Man came by to hook up my cable TV
We settled in for the night my baby and me
We switched 'round and 'round 'til half-past dawn
There was fifty-seven channels and nothin' on
Fifty-seven channels and nothin' on
Fifty-seven channels and nothin' on

Well now home entertainment was my baby's wish
So I hopped into town for a satellite dish
I tied it to the top of my Japanese car
I came home and I pointed it out into the stars
A message came back from the great beyond
There's fifty-seven channels and nothin' on
Fifty-seven channels and nothin' on
Fifty-seven channels and nothin' on

Well we might'a made some friends with some billionaires
We might'a got all nice and friendly if we'd made it upstairs
All I got was a note that said "Bye-bye John
Our love's fifty-seven channels and nothin' on"
(Fifty-seven channels and nothin' on)

So I bought a .44 magnum, it was solid steel cast
And in the blessed name of Elvis well I just let it blast
'Til my TV lay in pieces there at my feet
And they busted me for disturbin' the almighty peace
Judge said "What you got in your defense son?"
"Fifty-seven channels and nothin' on"
Fifty-seven channels and nothin' on
Fifty-seven channels and nothin' on

I can see by your eyes friend you're just about gone
Fifty-seven channels and nothin' on
Fifty-seven channels and nothin' on
Fifty-seven channels and nothin' on
Fifty-seven channels and nothin' on
Fifty-seven channels and...

5. I am feeling like Grumpy Old Woman tonight....
After nore than a year of the apartment next to me being vacant, a couple moved in a couple of months ago.

This morning around 7 a.m. ( :eyes: ) I was awakened by the sounds similar to a convention going on in there.

LOTS of people.

This evening, they have about 100 people in there partying. Aside from the laughter and the door constantly slamming, it is way too much noise in my bedroom. I have moved my stuff onto the sofabed, which was not fun opening up. I thought about going next door to ask for help to open the damn thing up. I think that my wonderful neighbor across the hall has already had words with the condo board president. I am too new here to know the protocol, but I intend to ask.

It has tempted me to have the triplets and my three other great-newphew-niece come over and run up and down the hall raising hell.

I will now go back to being a moderator. Thanks for the listening.

6. Walk or run to a pay phone one that is not in an area with surveillance cameras
Bring the NON-emergency number of your local Police Dept with you.

Also the address of the people who are so obnoxious.

Call up the PD and say "This is Janie Brown and I got told that these people at (Name the address) had some good meth and some excellent reefer, but when I got there, they took my money and woudn't give me any of the product.

"Could you bust them for theft??"

Hang up and run like the dickens back home and then just sit back and wait.

7. HA!!
Can't believe I saw this now, just called our direct TV and got the premium package on a trial as I couldn't find a thing but HGTV. :D DH thinks I'm nuts because all of normally watch is news and CSI type stuff. Oh well, I'll probably cancel in a month.
