Jimmy Rollins!
Now look, as my avatar demonstrates, I'm a Red Sox fan. And if it came down to it, Red Sox/Phils in the WS, I would root for the Sox, of course.

But! As it hasn't, I'm able to keep the Phils as my National League team. I went to six games this year and I got to watch Jimmy Rollins, whose nickname should be the NEW Mr. Hustle. Awesome player with a great attitude, all heart. He deserved it. Congratulations Jimmy! MVP! Go Phils!

1. yeah it was good to see him get it
I remember when he first broke in the league. He made a few cocky statements in some interviews, but I thought the guy just believed in himself. I read an article where some reporter called him "arrogant." But you know, you need to be a little arrogant to be good. And since then he's just continued developing as a player. That's all you can ask from a guy, stay a decent person, play hard and work at improving. He deserved it.

3. Batting average isn't everything.
It's important to look at the player's contribution to the team. Rollins was essential to the Phils (limited) success this year. They couldn't have done it without him.

4. I stand by my pick
Rollins wouldn't have made it to the playoffs without Hanley and the Marlins knocking off the Mets down the stretch.
