Jon and Kate Plus 8 - Who else is horrified?

They seem totally pissed off at their kids for being born.

She comes across like a bitch and he appears useless.

As my sister said, someone should call Child Protective Services.

Maybe hyperbole, but not by much IMO.

It's like some desperate manipulation to create a modern day Brady Bunch and it's annoying as hell.

The very idea irritates me. I don't want to follow around anyone's family. I also agree with the other poster that all these shows on qintuplets, etc. are just glorifying huge families. On a related note, a lot of the multiple births are the result of reproductive technologies, not a natural occurrence. I recently read a Nation article that said "human beings aren't meant to have litters."

21. Well, Jon appears to be Asian-American, and I don't think

they are in the same category as people like say, the Duggars.

They had two pregnancies and multiple births resulted, twins and the sextuplets. I guess they weren't happy about elective reduction. And, unlike the crazy family with seven, these sextuplets appear remarkably healthy.

I think they're adorable to watch.

So, I don't think it's about "white" babies. The children are all adorable. Yes, the mom seems a bit of a control freak, but you'd probably have to be to make sure 8 kids are cared for everyday.

The had twin girls. They were trying for one more child and ended up with sextuplets.

I don't know, they seem pretty normal to me. :shrug:

16. yeah, my thoughts as well

the few times I've seen it the mom is firm, or even stern, but how could you not be trying to keep 8 kids safe and in sight and under control? I think given the circumstances and the lack of help (I don't see 10 relatives piling into to help them like i have other multiple birth families) they do okay.

Supporting all those kids on just his income would have been hard, at best..
