I'm looking for a simple Thanksgiving blessing or grace
Does anyone know any non-religious (or at least non-denominational) things to say before Thanksgiving meal?

3. Too bad my little one is in bed. They say a grace at school that has something about
mother earth and her bounty in it.

5. My dear Poiuyt...
I like this one:

You have given so much to me. Give one thing more, a grateful heart.

It might be too brief though...

Have a happy Thanksgiving!

6. Tne one done at our daughter's school on Tuesday:
They have a Thanksgiving day feast at school, and this is the song they sang:

Earth, who gives to us this food, Sun, who makes it ripe and good, Dear earth, dear sun by you we live, And loving thanks to you we give,
Blessings on our party food and peace to all on Earth (last line spoken)

8. This is a day for thanks.
This is a day for thanks,
A day in which we see or hear or feel the wonders of the other moments of the year.
This is a day for time,
a day in which we think of pasts that make our present rich and future bountiful.
This is a day for joy,
a day in which we share a gift of laughter, warm and gentle as a smile.
Above all, this is a day for peace.
So, let us touch each other and know that we are none.
For these and other blessings, we give thanks.

10. Or
This Is It

This is It
and I am It
and You are It
and He is It
and She is It
and It is It
and That is That.

O It is This
and It is Thus
and It is Them
and It is Us
and It is Now
and here It is
and here We are
so This is It.

God, we thank you for this food, this day, and for each other, and we ask your blessings on the sick and the needy, and all our loved ones. Amen.

14. It's forever ingrained in my mind...
She's been opening nearly every dinner with it, or a small variation, as far back as I can remember. Very solemn.

(The commas are the pauses I hear in her voice...)
