4. Burn 'em in the fireplace/cookstove/wood burning furnace
It supposedly helps eliminate creosote in the flue.

7. It's not the ones in the disposal that are the problem
There's nothing like dismantling the drain plumbing while the other half continues to cook t-day supper!

You'd think a device that can chop up bones would have no problem with potato skins or lemon peel.

10. My brother-in-law did that a few years ago.
Needless to say, dinner was delayed for about an hour while he and my other BIL fixed the disposal. :)

12. ROFL I did that the first year in my Phoenix house
we had to do the dishes in the bath tub while the boys pulled out the dishwasher to clear the clog

It was a mess. I broke the poor disposal. My husband had to fix it and he was not pleased with me.
