1. Left the house at 6:00 am

Saw a giant plume of smoke south of the 101. "Whoa! That one's close!" I pulled over and called my husband to keep an eye on it.

The winds are blowing north to south, so the fear is that it will jump PCH, not 101.

5. Yup.

It started in Corral Canyon, just north of Pepperdine. The last fire was south of Pepperdine.

It's already destroyed about 35 homes...and it did jump the Pacific Coast Highway.
