I watched it again last night. Does anyone else find it implausible she waited for him? It's an interesting movie though; many interesting characters.

3. it's based on a book
which is based on events in the life of a relative of the author. The trail he follows home is the same trail that the guy's ancestor followed home when he deserted. I'm sure many of the events going along home are fictional but the basic story is true.
