I hate doing laundry. What makes it suck even worse is that I have to truck it down to the end of the building and do the coin-op thing. That's the one thing I dislike about my condo. No room or hook-ups for a washer and dryer. What do you say? Ten bucks an hour ain't bad.

1. That sounds like a reasonable deal...
But what about my airfare?

And lodging?

Hmmmm???

I enjoy doing it too!

:hi:

2. I'm afraid I cannot cover personal expenses
since you would be considered an independent contractor. But I'll throw in all of the english toffee cappuccino you can drink to sweeten the deal.

3. My laundry situation is ten times worse, haha
I have to drag it all down four flights of dirty factory building stairs (no elevator), take a gamble on whether someone is using the 2 washers, then I have to pay 1.50 for each washer load, I usually do two. When it comes time to dry the clothes, there are 3 available dryers, all of which will burn your clothes if you put them on anything other than "Cool". After doing 4 15 minute cycles of "Cool", the clothes should be dry, but sometimes they aren't. And to top it all off, I live in a building where I don't like to leave my clothes for more than ten minutes at once. There's a lot of young people like myself, who in my experience from living in dorms, like to steal clothes. Or laundry detergent. Or even laundry baskets. If people are real desperate, they'll even take your laundry out mid-cycle and put theirs in, on your quarters... lovely. I do one huge laundry once a month, saves me some hassle.

4. That sucks
We had as much nicer laundry facility when I was in college. There were about 10 washers and 10 dryers. We also had an elevator. I didn't worry about getting my clothes stolen. At the time I wore 42/30 jeans and a XXL t-shirts- useless to all of them skinny 18 year olds. :)

5. I don't know how people with kids do all that laundry
I did laundry for a guy and his toddlers while his wife was ill (he works two jobs) - lord, I've never seen so much freaking laundry - and folding all those tiny clothes - YIKES :o

6. Yup, that's probably why I don't have kids
Just all the damn laundry. I'd go ape shit. I know one thing, as soon as those kids would be old enough to walk they would be learning how to work the washer and dryer. :)

9. Make it $30 and I'll even fold and put it away
Otherwise I'll just throw all of it in a big pile in the corner.

Agree that not having your own washer and dryer is a major sucky.
