"Dexter" fans...did the end of the latest episode freak you out or what? [SPOILERS]
Ok, so what's Dexter going to do? I don't see him killing Doakes, but I don't see him going to prison either. My theory is, he'll set up Doakes with tons of evidence. Then offer to clear Doakes' name in exchange for his silence. I want to believe Doakes would actually be into what Dexter was doing, taking trash off the streets. Somehow, those two are going to be working together before this is all over.

Erik King is awesome.

1. Holy crap, yes it freaked me out!!
I never expected Doakes to follow Dexter. For some reason I thought he had already gone to the islands. I'm not sure how they are going to work the story because it varies so much from the book. There are glimpses of the book, but that's about all. There are only a couple of weeks left. I can't wait to see the finale.

Erik King IS awesome! I also liked him in Kindred: The Embraced. A vampire cop.

:hi:

3. When Dexter looked in that open garbage bag...
And we hear Doakes say, "that's right motherfucker" in his classic Doakes way, I almost fell out of my chair.

6. My heart jumped into my throat!
I had a thought about how they can pin everything on Doakes and Dexter goes on with life, but I haven't quite figured out the mechanics.

Basically, I think the writers could set up an altercation between Doakes and Dexter and someone on the Miami PD (I think Deb) will come in during the altercation, think that Doakes is trying to kill Dexter, and will shoot Doakes. I think it's going to be Deb because in the last episode she was talking about how she would protect her brother and made mention of her gun.

But I'm just speculating.

2. Best episode yet!
It was a real roller coaster ride. When they sat Dexter down in front of the box of "trophies" - what a great scene.

I like your theory better than mine. I was thinking Dexter might kill Doakes and make it look like a suicide so Doakes would take the rap, right after Doakes walked out of the interview with Lundy.

I don't want this season to end. I don't wanna wait another year!

4. I know!
He could have so easily screwed himself there. I swear, I watch that show with this big nervous knot in my stomach. No other show has EVER done that to me. Yet, every episode, I bust out laughing at something. Usually something Deb says. :D

7. OMG!
The box of trophies scene was fabulous.

When I saw the preview I thought that all that was a dream mode because of the fish-eye lens they used. I was freaking out when they REALLY hauled him down to the precinct.

I don't want this season to end, either. The good thing is that I haven't read the third book yet, so I have something Dexter in the interim.

9. The girl's insane, that's for sure!
I knew she was a bit off when he took her to that makeshift morgue to freak her out, and she didn't even flinch. She even wanted to touch the body parts. Oh yeah, she's definitely not playing with a full deck. She also KNOWS something is up with the last guy Dexter killed (the guy who killed his mom). I wonder how much she knows.
