At age 28 I'd say about 8-9. Now I cannot believe it when I look in the mirror. THE HORROR - THE HORROR!

I am about 40lbs over weight. I just spent almost 2 years pregnant. My boys are 9 months 23 days apart from each other. That was not planned. Precautions were used and the youngest still happened to come along. He was also 5 weeks early. I also have a lazy eye. It was crossed inward when I was younger. I has corrective surgery when I was 4 and the "old" doc over corrected and now it goes out wards. 31 years old and still have this problem. Glasses correct it only so much. I refuse to go through surgery again.

Showing my age a litle though.

Because I at least shower every day, I'm clean and have decent hair.

I do shower every day, and I'm clean and have nice hair, though it is cut fairly short. And, I have more grey than I used to have.

5 years ago, I would have said a "1"... today I say a "4" or "5".

My guess is if you posted this on F___ R________ or some rightwing board, everyone would be considering themselves a 9 or 10, bragging about how fit and handsome/beautiful they were and the like.

Here, even the obviously highly attractive people are rating themselves a 5 or lower.

Back in High School, when I weighed almost 350 pounds, I was a popular guy, dated a Cheerleader, played football, made all-state Jazz Ensemble and Choir, had the lead in the HS Musical 2 out of the 3 years I was there and generally had a good time. Another guy asked me, I swear, "How can a big fat slob like you, wearing the same clothes every day, get a girlfriend like you have and I can't do it, I am so so much better looking than you and have a car and have more money" I answered him that I had a personality and he did not and that he should not worry much about other people and all that other Liberal Christian stuff. I really wanted to smack him down, but I didn't. I was a born-again for awhile and I kept the compassionate side and try very hard to this day to eschew the judgmental "my sins are forgiven, but you had better get your act together" side of Christianity.....

Threads like this are nothing more than an opportunity for traditionally attractive people to show what seems to be false modesty, under-rate themselves, and then wait for everyone to jump in and tell them how they should be rated higher. As soon as I saw this thread pop up, I knew people would be jumping on this like flies on shit.

When I was in high school, the boys used to call out a rating when the girls walked by. Frequently, they would yell out one, two, even negative numbers. Then you would have the lovely experience of seeing them blush and put their heads down and walk away. As I aged and thought about these situations, I realized that those instances were probably never forgotten by the benefactors of this "rating system".

This whole idea of rating is pure fucking steaming horse shit. It carries from childhood into adulthood, and it is the stupidest goddamn thing I have ever seen.

I can look at a woman or a man who most people would consider ugly, and find something supremely beautiful about them. So what do I "rate" them? I have no idea.

By the way, I'm a fucking 10.

Threads like this really jack my jaws up because it really DOES matter what is inside you, not what you look like. Looks are a useless metric when measuring a person's worth.

I think I am so torqued off over this because I have seen too many people hurt by shit like this.

I had a very over-weight female cousin attend high school with me. She matured into a wonderful lady, but she was the recipient of the "rating system" daily. I'm not kidding when I am telling you that her life was almost ruined by shit like this. I got in many a fist fight over it, and to this day....well, you get the idea.

It's just a pissing contest for people who are fucking arrogant about their appearance to pretend that they're 'ugly' so they get compliments from their pathetic and horny little followers.
I'm sure some of the disgusting little worshippers just fall all over themselves to score some points with their self-centered 'idol.'
