Maybe you have already, but I know my local grocery store window is like lost/found dog poster central, and I have a feeling some dog person felt protective of his little self and took him in.

I remember seeing his picture here before!
Looking at that nice face I just bet someone will want to take care of him, Chapel Hill is a good place for him to find someone who'd care for him. I know you must be so sad though :hug: I'm sad too.

21. Hey. A personal story to give you hope...

Several years ago my beloved pooch took off running after he escaped from our backyard. We tried searching for him days after it happened but to no avail. We had just assumed he was gone and wouldn't be coming back.

About 7-10 days later, we hear him barking on our front porch. He must have followed a scent or something and was able to find us again. He was all dirty and skinny and scared, but we were so happy to have him home. And he was happy to be as well!

So hopefully instinct will kick in and your pooch will be coming back soon...
