Only 7 days until Chanukah

I hate when it comes this early.
This will be our daughters first Chanukah away from home. I'm trying to build her a LED menorah since she can't have candles in the dorm. Maybe I'll freeze some latkes and ship them up to her.

1. Electric menorahs

A lot of stores carry electric menorahs for folks in just such circumstances.

http://www.zionjudaica.com has some nice ones for prices ranging from $30 to $200. http://www.traditionsjewishgifts.com has some too. No doubt both companies could just ship them straight to your daughter to make sure she gets it in time. Or, just find some LED candles and load them up in a traditional menorah.

The latkes, well, let's just say you don't want my help with that one!

3. I went up to the local Jewish book store

The ones they had up there were really big and pretty crappy looking.
I got time to make one.

I only saw two and they were both similar to the first one on that page. Plus they were huge, I couldn't think of where she would put it.
