and I think by now I've had about every disease known to man. Not necessarily the best field for a neurotic woman like me.

6. yeah, unfortunately I've had enough time working...
...in the medical field to be able to understand most of what they're saying. Going to the hospital tomorrow for an echocardiogram. I shouldn't have done any background reading. Bah!

and to make matters worse for my state of mind, my father died of prosthetic mitral valve failure when he was a relatively young man. It will be what it is.

I used to take his surgery boks to school to gross people out.

He always said that first year med students had more diseases.

11. Those surgery books are nothing.
I knew someone who was going to school to become an undertaker. You should have seen those textbooks. Would make medical surgery books look like comic books.
