What I'm saying is that mothers don't normally show off their nekid, pregnant bodies, not because they shouldn't or are ashamed, but because there is no compelling reason to do so, leering men notwithstanding.

Good mothers are into their kids bodies, if you will, than into their own.

Women who put their kids before themselves in every single thing are not being a good role model for their kids. of a ragazine. And that's okay with me-- it's not MY cup of tea, but if a girl freely wants to, fine. Because such an individual only need answer to themselves, then I see no problem, except maybe with dad or mom, if they are in the picture. But say that they aren't.

Okay, enter a boyfriend, or a husband. Now she must start taking OTHERS into consideration when she acts. The ultimate consideration she needs to make is of the welfare of her child. Narcissists, by definition, don't do others well. So when I see narcissistic behavior in a future mother, I worry.

That is not to say that she won't be a good mother. But the demands of being a celebrity, if she chooses to remain in the spotlight can definitely take a toll on motherhood. I wish her child all the best.

You now have a awesome responsibility to raise a human being to maturity, to provide for him/her their every need. It is not an endeavor to be taken on lightly. become parents. It is IMPOSSIBLE to know what it is like until you are in that role. So I won't try to explain it.

She is used to the focus and attention all being on HER. And to be fair, we all are to some extent. But I think more so in her case, as with a lot of celebrities. And so I wonder, as I stated in my OP.

Those choices to a large extent affect how our children turn out. Some choices are have less impact than others. That you choose to use make-up will have less of an impact on your kids than if you decided to continue your career and have an entourage raise your kids (were you Christina Aguilera).

I have a great body. That being the case, it doesn't mean that if I don't choose to pose nekid I am in any way ashamed of it. I haven't posed nekid because I have no reason to do so. Offer me $1,000,000 and I'll consider it. But if I already have $1,000,000, then even that is no incentive. I don't feel the need to prove anything to anyone about my stuff. If some else does, then fine, with a pregnant women, she has to come to the realization that her decisions from now on must include her child's welfare, and hopefully her child's welfare FIRST.

Pregnant people who pose nekid on rag covers don't appear to me to be in that mindset yet.

MissMillie, they are child products of Hollyweird. They live in a different universe than we do. Look at Brittany Spears. She is a disgrace to the human race. And she probably thinks she is normal. Why? Because she is surrounded by people under her employment who tell her so!

These people aren't normal. Normal people don't need PR firms to spin to the world that they are normal. Normal people don't live in the spotlight. When normal people get put into the spotlight, they either leave the spotlight right away and remain normal (a "normal" response), or remain in the spotlight and become abnormal.

Only when the spotlight is turned off can they ever have any hope of becoming normal again. Sometimes they don't, and they just live in bitterness that their 15 minutes of fame are gone.

The smart ones drop out of the limelight to raise their families; the dumbshit ones allow their every move to be documented by the media.

Yes, being a parent is a rude awakening. It can be harder for the celebrity types. I hold up Britney as exhibit A.
