Poll question: Who is the best "front man"?
Edited on Thu Nov-29-07 05:36 PM by Va Lefty
Just watched the VH1 Classics show on the best "front men". They had Mick Jagger #1 and Freddie Mercury #2. They also had Bono ahead of Daltrey. So who is #1?

2. Jagger is definitely the best front man with Iggy Pop running a close second...
and their is no way in hell that off-key, stupidly named "Bono" is a better front man than Roger Daltrey

3. This is why I don't watch VH1 classic
I am not old enough to know what those guys were like at the height of their touring careers.

If I had to give my vote, I would cast it for Dave Matthews.

Sorry, I'm was born in the 80s... but the first rock I ever heard that I liked was in the 90s. And it was Kurt's voice that I heard.

For those on the list I'd say Freddie Mercury, followed by Daltrey.

30. Freddie Mercury - the set at Live Aid proves it
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LncAQR47eZo

i think that Radio Ga-Ga at Live Aid was the greatest live performance by a rock band ever.

32. Radio Ga-Ga? Are you kidding?
I loved Queen's 70's material, but they really went downhill in the 80's.

Amazingly talented band. Just didn't care for the later stuff

33. it doesn't matter how you feel about the song...
watch the clip. watch how the crowd responds to Freddie. watch how he's in total possession of the stage. that set was INCREDIBLE from start to finish.

And sadly, they didn't perform much longer after that.

35. I suppose it's Jagger, but I'm voting for Bruce, because he writes
his own music. He's one hundred percent artist.

36. Mercury, then Plant, then Jagger, then Scott, then Morrison
I think David Bowie should be up there too.
