My cat has figured out how to remove the screen on the window
Edited on Sat Dec-01-07 01:51 PM by alarimer
It must be very loose because all he has to do is push on it and it comes off. I guess it is better than having him tear the screen but I really do not want him outside at all. We have a busy road near here and it just isn't good for him. But as long as I want the windows open, I guess I have to put up with him going in an out, in and out all day long.

At least he never goes far.

under the threat of outdoor accidents much less. I lost a cat to a car a few years back. Not fun. The less time they spend outside the better.

5. I close the windows whenever I leave.
I figure as long as I am here, he won't wander far. He doesn't usually; he is pretty timid out there.

4. Mine has figured out where the "off' button is
On my surge suppressor strip. I'm likely to get a nasty surprise when the food or water bowls are empty.

Clever little buggers.

6. Screens?! What screens?
My cats obviously pass along the screen shredding techniques since they all do it at my house. Every. Single. Screen. Every summer. There is no way to keep my cats inside: either I use airco all the time, or deal with the fact that they are getting out. Last year we finally installed a cat door, and they won't use it. Shredded the screens again.

So they get out. They never go far. I've had cats for more than 40 plus years and they all have managed to keep themselves alive gallivanting around the yard/farm/barn.

9. These are loose enough that he pushes on them and pops them out
If I nailed them in place he would just rip the screen. I have gone through a lot of them and figure there goes my deposit LOL
