Oh wow... this is very cool!
I opened a packet today - a manuscript returned to me from a journal I mailed it to. I always receive little impersonal rejection notes with my manuscripts, but this particular manuscript today had a personal note scribbled on it: "Re: XXXXXX... Thank You." The editor took the time to use a pen to reject me - I thought that was rather neat!

3. I purchased a memo spindle and enjoy the sensation of stabbing...
the spike through the center of the rejection letter.

:P

Why do you ask?

7. Just curious
I've got several stories together, but have never sent any of them to anyone. I need to brush up on my grammar first. ;)

8. Every time I've thought about submitting something...
I end up looking at it and saying to myself, "This part doesn't work very well... it needs to be fixed." And then I never fix it. :P

10. At least you sent them off.
It takes courage to do that.

12. I got a personalized rejection not too long ago,
after previously receiving the generic rejection twice from the same publication. That's progress, I suppose.

On a related note, I've sent stories to 8 different literary zines, mostly on-line but some print, in the past few days. Hopefully I'll be able to place something somewhere.
