Lord Vader, I should have known. Only you could be so bold.

The Imperial Senate will not sit still for this, when they hear you've attacked a diplomatic...

Don't play games with me, Your Highness. You weren't on any mercy mission this time. You passed directly through a restricted system. Several transmissions were beamed to this ship by Rebel spies. I want to know what happened to the plans they sent you.

I don't know what you're talking about. I'm a member of the Imperial Senate on a diplomatic mission to Alderaan...

You're a part of the Rebel Alliance... and a traitor. Take her away!

2. The f----er tortured and defiled his own daughter!
No one in the fan community agrees with me, but that probe droid interrogation carries serious rape connotations. All Leia needed to do was show her brother the scars, and we would have gotten a far more interesting RotJ.

3. I've always assumed that he didn't know that Leia was his daughter
He knew Luck was his son, of course.

But Leia? Where's the proof?

4. He didn't.
I'm merely pointing out that, in light of the RotJ revelation, the torture scene carries unsettling connotations. A shame that Star Wars is so maddeningly patriarchal--the daughter was warranted an invite to that twisted family reunion in the Throne Room.

5. How/when did he find out that Luke was his son?
I've always been curious about this. Did Palpatine tell him, or did he just sense it?
