7. it is a lot of snow
but amazingly where that was, Estes Park, rarely seems to get that much snow, or at least in the time my Dad (on the snowblower with my son in the one pic) has lived there.

grew up with that kind of snow on the ground all winter long though in Utah.

4. Sure does enhance your Christmas decorations, doesn't it?
The red ribbons look so much better against the white snow. Nice decorating, BTW.

12. It's a very pretty day!
The rain blew away yesterday, and the sky is brilliant with a few high streaming clouds...

And it's been chilly (for us!) with the highs in the upper 50's and low 60's!

I love this kind of weather...

:hi: back atcha, sweetie!

31. That would be our city hall.
Or better known as the office to our awesome mayor Rocky Anderson.

As for how an Irishman found his way to Salt Lake, jobs, I guess. My dad's family immigrated over here from Ireland during the potato family, my mom's family during the revolution. My dad's family came straight through because of the mining in Utah, while my mom's originally settled in Boston. But my great grandpa was arrested, deported and the rest of the family moved to Utah. Fun, eh? :D

all we got here was a dusting on the lawn and cars. It's raining now so I doubt there will be any left in the morning...although knowing my luck the only thing that will be left is a layer of ice over my car windows

full sized images can be found http://www.stickmanltd.com/prettypictures/">here, for some reason it won't let me link directly to them. I think DU tries to show the picture, but the link code screws it up or something. There are also some pre-snow pictures in that directory too. for comparison.

We're going to buy a house, even though I don't really care for the town. His grandmother is getting older, and we'd like to spend more time with his parents. And we'll be closer to his brother and sister in law and my mom.

37. i think we got four feet between two storms in three or four days
the whole city was shut down for days...right before christmas

all i can say is that i have wonderful neighbors. my place sits at the end of a long drive (i'd say at least 60 feet) but my neighbor owns a lawn care company and had a mower with a plow attachment and he took care of the drive

it would have taken us until may to get out of there
