4. Easy way to keep in touch.

We use it to talk with our kids and grandkids all the time. Beats paying for a
call from LA to Boston. And pictures are a bonus. Particularly those of our
baby great grandaughter.

I misplaced my cell,
so I downloaded Skype --
called my cell # (using Skype),
my son answered the phone - I had left it at his house.

7. I had a conference call with one of my programmers in Sao Paulo last week...

1). FREE one-hour call to Brazil

2). The sound coming through my PC's speakers (some nice Altec Lansings) was crystal-clear

3). Hands-free, allowing me to work on my computer and email items for discussion during the call (I have a relatively inexpensive stand mike plugged into the PC's microphone port).

I have two other local associates who use it, and we talk on Skype regularly. Friends look at Skype on their own PC and can tell when I'm online, and vice-versa.
