Any Honda CRX owners?

Took a real step toward reducing my gas consumption a couple weeks ago. I sold my pickup and found a 1991 Honda CRX hf for $1,200. It's kinda like a motorbike with 4 wheels, but sure is fun to drive! Love the MPG (41 city so far). Odometer reads 227K, though the original engine was replaced by another 91 hf which only has 69K on it.

I commute 32 miles to work, so I plan for it to be my everyday commuter car. No modifications minus "headers" the prior owner put on the stock engine. With no airbags, I drive very defensively -
but the temptation is to go fast! Guess lots of folks like to turn them into rally racers.

Any other DUers have a little rex? Any rex advice...? Don't ya dig this go cart or what! :hi:

got rear-ended - and that car didn't have much of a rear end so it was totaled. :(

It was my first 'new' car. I'm not surprised that the engine had to be replaced by 100K. Keep a very close eye on all of the fluid levels. :)

The power/weight ratio on that car is great - I had a blast driving it! I used to do car rallies in it. Too much fun!
