Okay, now let's list the films with no men in them.
I can't think of any, other than lesbian films.

We came up with a few movies that have no women in them, but I wonder - has anyone made a movie with only women?

Even Poulenc's opera Dialogue of the Carmelites has a male stepping into the scene.

And as I think of this, I find myself asking, "What if Carpenter had used an all female cast for 'The Thing' - would it still work?" And I'm not sure it would; I think viewers, including probably myself, would be too clouded by the silly concept of 'women' that we have in the US.

But who knows - Sigourney Weaver pulled herself off perfectly in the Alien series.

But one of the beauties of The Thing is also the sound - the music is in a low register, all the dialogue is low register because it's men, and the only time high pitches come in is the monster.

Anyway - if you can think of a movie that has all women and no men, please post it here.

1. 8 femmes
French movie with Catherine Deneuve and Fanny Ardant (who actually get into a bit of a cat fight, if I remember correctly).

The movie centers around the murder of Deneuve's husband, but I think all you see is his back in one scene.

4. The Women (1939)?
Never saw it, but ran the huge cast listing on IMDB and no men listed. So, no speaking roles or important face time, but certainly some in any crowd scenes.

Anyone confirm or deny?
