1. A cow-orker and I got in a screaming match
I had just spent a year fine-tuning an application so it would work correctly with a certain piece of technology. We had just done a business analysis confirming that it met our needs (given the state of the technology).

Said cow-orker announced that it should be re-written from scratch incorporating features the technology simply could not handle. When I began to point out some of the difficulties he started screaming at me, got out his little black book (he kept notes on everybody), starting writing stuff down and accused me of blocking the project.

Supervisors separated us.

3. About 25 years ago
I completely lost it and slammed the company car keys down on a metal desk creating a very loud attention getting noise. The company later got a half million daollar fine as a result of the incompetence of the idiot that provoked my outburst. I was vindicated. And lucky to still have a job.

4. when i was in corporate america
this guy talked to me in a way that i felt was disrespectful.

i told him, "i ain't your fucking bitch, guy."

and he went all woo woo woo and hummina hummina.

but he wasn't gonna do anything, i wasn't gonna do anything, so we did a shouting match.

security escorted me out of the building and i was suspended with pay until the next monday.

8. Once a guy in the office started ranting

at no one in particular. Picked up a huge steel bar and started slamming
desks and files. He was pinned by some
of our co workers. Never came back to work again. Brass from DC were
visiting at the time. Don't remember them coming back either. z

9. I had a boss once who threw an office chair at me
Edited on Tue Dec-04-07 11:48 PM by Generic Brad
He thought I was responsible for a screw up that his partner made. When he saw the invoice he blew up, stormed into the room I worked in, picked up the chair and hurled it at me. He missed. The chair deflected off my desk and it broke a window. I was stunned because I had no idea why he tried to attack me. Then he ranted that I was a stupid mother fucker who had cost everyone their Christmas bonus because of my carelessness.

At the end of the day he sheepishly apologized and told me he learned I had nothing to do with what set him off. And I said that was OK, I didn't mind, because I was never going to see him again anyway. And I didn't except for the article I read about him on the internet 20 years later where I learned he had recently won a humanitarian of the year award.
