Holy shit! The drain is unclogged!!

The big sink in my laundry room would back up every time I did a load of laundry. Brown, dirty, ugly water. Then it would SLOWLY drain.

Lately it's been getting worse, to the point I was afraid to do a load of laundry. We tried drain cleaners, including the VERY strong ones. Then yesterday we got a snake, unhooked the washing machine, and tried to snake out the pipe manually. At the VERY end of the length of the snake (25'), we felt some obstruction. We wiggled it around a little, but it was still clogged.

So tonight we tried again, and hooked a power drill to the little thingamabobby on our end of the snake, which twists that little bastard like nobody's business. We pulled the snake out and there was a bunch of goop in the end. We washed it off and did it one more time. While the bf snaked the pipe, I filled the overflow sink with water and plunged it.

Then, all of a sudden, it started draining! Draining fast! I ran the washer and no problem!!

My long laundry room nightmare is finally over. I have the bestest bf.

There was weird, fibery stuff in the goop we pulled out. Probably just a many-years-old accumulation of cloth fibers.

I love a good dirty joke, I can swear like a sailor, and I've had a sexual history that would send my mother to the asylum if she knew about it.

My complaint is that you sexualize everything and anything, and do so in a way devoid of wit, humor or insight. It's Beavis and Butthead-level. It's juvenile. It's creepy.

it's blissful now that it's over. The two of us jammed into the laundry room trying to do this together was less-so. My back is killing me, so I'm down on one knee trying to help, but mostly getting in the way. We're not so good at doing fix-it projects together - we both end up pissed. But it never lasts longer than the project itself.

incidentally, his place is a pig sty, absolutely disgusting. had to help clean it when he was in the hospital...i felt bad for the plumber...in all honesty, i wouldn't blame him for charging extra for something like that, when a sink and home are so disgusting and nasty
