My family owned the album - yes, the actual record album - of Zeferelli's Romeo & Juliet. My first girlcrush ever was Olivia Hussey. :)

I knew every line - inflection, accent and everything. :rofl: Saved me tons of time when we read it in high school.

I'm honestly not sure that I would believe much of '80's history if I hadn't lived through the decade myself.

edited to add that the claire/leonardo/luhrman version was indeed a jam'n flick, and to add that the costume that got me :rofl: was Romeo's tight khakis & tucked-in shirt. Juliet didn't look nearly so bad to me...
