Bon Scott is legend

They are the ONLY band that came back...no make me stop...HOLD ME BACK....

NO ONE BUT AC/DC COULD HAVE DONE WHAT THEY DID WHEN A LEAD SINGER DIES...NO BAND

Every band in the world DREAMS of fan loyalty like that..only AC/DC has them

And we even forgive Angus's short hair...don't we

BTW - I did not look at the UTube video...I am only assuming something here

Whew!

And the music was good and the music was loud

Edited on Wed Dec-12-07 08:29 PM by Peake
What is my opinion of hell?

A congregation of ultimately refined selfishness and rejection of beauty due to purest jealousy. Destroy what you cannot create. Pervert what can be perverted. Deception into distance from the Source. Cause damage to others because YOU hurt. Parasitism. Manipulation. Reduction. Force. Compression. Burning, searing acidity and clinical aloofness. Celebration of destruction. The ultimate realization of ego and self-obsession. Ultimate distance from the ever-new joy and light of the Source. Ultimate alone-ness and screaming vitriol. Organization against all light. Manipulation of all points of weakness.

The ultimate in rebellion, defiance, grandiosity, denial, hypocrisy, rationalization, ego (and helplessness plus hatred of all that is not helpless, the desire to reduce it to the same state, while ignoring that this state of helplessness is the result of a choice to be distanced from the Source, but knowing it at some level and hating the self for it), and all the actions these lead to.

Predictable once you understand ego and the poisons. Robotic to witness. Bullies attack what they're afraid of, what threatens them, what makes them feel helpless or less-than. Reminds them of their self-loathing for weaknesses. Finding energy (partial parasitism) in having caused others to suffer as well.

Which merely causes the entire cycle of abuse to continue. It's not a dog-eat-dog world, it's a dog kick the smaller dog world. Without end.

In comparison to the joy of selflessness and bringing others into fullness and fulfillment. Of living as a contributing part of the entire design of life. Of gratitude for the very experience of life. No shame for being less or different or weak, but acceptance and support to overcome it into self-love and joy.

According to doctrine, after each life, those who engage in negative energies get to spend an appropriate amount of time in the appropriate depth in order to work through said energy. Which feels like eternity. An unceasing awareness of the agony of those pure energies without death as a release. Fear and hatred for being there, rejection of individual responsibility for being there.

When that energy is balanced, time in an upper realm until the positive energy is burned. Then, back to a body and the tendencies you have developed, and the hope that said tendencies may be known and overcome, before they again gather energy, repeating the cycles. Both positive and negative. (What Dreams May Come is based upon the described nature of the upper realms, fluid as dreams, as thought is the root of experience. The easy creation of form may result in selfish indulgence, which can result in desire and addiction to instant gratification. This is directly compatible with lucid dreaming.)

Parroted from various texts. From what I have experienced in ego reduction and self-awareness and the associated energies of the root poisons and actions transcending them, I have little reason to doubt the things that I have read stating the same causes/effects, and the distances beyond them. I have had some tiny experience in meditation and manipulating the kundalini, and confirm what I have read about these things as well.

We are all entirely responsible for ourselves and the experience that we create. We are entirely responsible en masse, regarding the state of the country that we are in. All thought, all action creates energy (even Jung said so). Such energy is an aspect of Karma. Energies wish to balance, and will, sooner or later. Transcending the results of Karma is important and leads to the end of the desires/fears/tendencies making up ego.

Well and truly, if you don't like George Bush and friends in power, do not act as they do, whatsoever. According the to texts, it just adds to the overall energy. Do things that are positive instead, and increase THAT energy. Nations develop Karma as well as people.

It is entirely our responsibility. I believe this to be true.

If these things displease you, please do not read them. If they ring of the truth in your gut, search them out.

"Woa unto those who take the role of villain." -Yogananda

35. Nonexistent.
I suppose you can describe me as sort of a lapsed atheist.

I think that if there is a God, it had to come into being using some form of evolutionary vehicle. If such a creature exists I think that it isn't "all knowing" or "all good". I also think that hell itself was originally a construct of the Catholic church and makes no sense. Thus even if God existed I'm pretty sure that hell doesn't.

On the days when I'm more of an atheist, this discussion is of course moot.

57. But of course... since the divine can't move away from us...
we have to choose to ignore it.

I would like to point out that when I say "God" I don't mean an entity that sits in a sky box way up on high and tells people to kill witches and babies and then turns around and says "oops sorry I didn't mean that part, let's start over"... I mean whatever it is that anyone wants to call that divine spark... the connection we all share... the spirit of love... whatever anyone wants to call it, it's losing touch with that which is our 'hell'.

I'm so full of myself sometimes, I make myself sick. :P

61. Yes, I like characterizations of God
that are out of the box. As corny as the concept of "the Force" has become, it definitely had some good ideas.

The problem for Christians is that they have become hung up on the metaphor of The Father, and fail to consider that the concept of God is a lot bigger than that.

We all get full of ourselves-- I think that there is really only 1 sin in various degrees: selfishness. And 2 emotions: happiness and fear. (Ok, that last sentence just came out of my head without thinking about it, but I'll leave it out there to season a little....) :-)

they can be sent too. My Gods don't believe is scaring followers to have Scared Faith I just have to explain to them what I was thinking, why I did it, what did I learn from it, and take my punishment for the deeds that were out of line. Punishment not in hell, but in extra servitude and duties because my Gods do not believe in throwing souls away at all they believe that forgiveness, understanding, and love works better.
