Jeebus, what a day. On top of kitteh's surgery, I had an incident today at the subway station.

Without getting into too much detail, I was accosted by some punk ass thug, pushed around, and had my bandanna ripped off of my head, after being questioned on my gang affiliations...Wrong day to wear a red bandanna, I suppose.

Scared the living crap out of me...He was about 6 feet tall and menacing, I'm all of 5'2...Young men can be so charming... :eyes:

It's days like this that I really just wanna move home to the country, where such stupid f'd up crap doesn't happen. :mad:

find a subway cop anywhere...At that point, I was so freaked out that I just got on the train and went home...sigh.

I spent two years avoiding assholes on NYC trains, so I completely sympathize.

My buddy was questioned and harassed for wearing supposed gang colors. This was years ago when we were in high school. Happened at the mall.

That's pretty much how it went, except in Dorchester, where they like to murder people. Hence my not wanting to press my luck.

The exact thing happened to a friend of mine when we were walking in Times Square...in 1979.

Out of nowhere, a group of assholes in matching accessories surrounded us and demanded to know our "gang affiliation." When we told them we didn't know what they were talking about, the shortest one (with the biggest attitude, since he was in the company of five huge friends) ripped the bandana off my friend's head and said, "you don't wanna come round here no more."

I suppose the only consolation is that half of those assholes are dead now. Stupid and mean never lives long.

I'm relieved to here you're okay. :) People are weird out there. I often walk outside around at 4 or 5 in the morning, and one time I had a guy in a hooded sweatshirt approach me from across the 6 lane avenue I was walking along just to ask me if I wanted to use his skateboad because I looked like I was in a hurry :crazy:. I'm a big guy, but being tall and decently strong does nothing for me when someone could have a knife or a gun. Also the part of the avenue I was walking along was right beside the entrance to a hiking trail in a canyon.

The only other weird thing that's happened to me here in University City/La Jolla was approached by a car in the middle of the day on a busy street asking if I had some pot. I said no, they drove off.

gay mafia report for duty....Yeah, maybe I was looking a lil too butch for them :P
