Did you get that big Santa gift you wanted this year?

I did. Beautiful new leather briefcase to replace the old one that always popped open (OK, so it's not a Daisy air rifle). Also two sweaters, and two books: "What Hath God Wrought," about the early 19th century (great reviews), and of course. . .

1. Didn't really have a big Christmas wish this year...

I did get some very nice Cartier cologne, a Big Bobber floating cooler, a blue sweater, some wonderful winter gloves, and some Starbucks hot chocolate mix.

My wife got a wonderful gift from our nephew - a stone from her family's castle ruins in Scotland and a book of photographs from the castle site. The oldest part of the castle is supposed to date back to Imperial Roman times.
