4. I've had the pilsner
it was pretty good. And I think I've had the brown ale too. I didn't like the lager. Their seasonal stuff is good, summer ale and octoberfest were really nice.

Hell, try 'em all!

5. Nah it's OK
I'm just wondering what the outlook is out there...

Out here WC Beers dominate (not that that's a bad thing...)

For example, we can't get Dogfish Head out here...and that's a DE beer...

When I have the Cambridge Brewing Company, and their Charles River Porter less than two blocks away?

http://www.cambrew.com/directions.html

Charles River Porter

Deep and dark, full-bodied and robust, our Porter is crammed full of rich, roasted malt character. With underlying notes of fruitness, caramel and toffee, it finishes with a strong hop presence. _OG: 1.060 FG: 1.014 ABV: 6.0%

20. You just have to pack it really well
And don't tell them its beer - but they don't ask. That's how Archer Liquors sends it.

Porter that tastes like sesame seeds...yum!

Bear Republic's Hop Rod Rye Ale is a goodie if you can get it...

Of course Green Flash's IIPA is really good too...

Buffalo Bills out here makes a pumpkin ale that sells well, but I can't stand. To me its like Nutmeg beer...yuk!

18. This one is a little more spicy
There is a bit more nutmeg in it. When I can't get my ALL time fav Cottonwood Pumpkin Ale, I go for the Post Road. I don't like Blue Moon (too sweet).

Do try the summer ale and the Octoberfest when you can, those are really, really good.

9. I prefer Obsidian Stout to Black Butte Porter
But I would refuse to live anywhere where I couldn't get any Deschutes Brewery products.

As far as Christmas Brews go, it's up there with He'Brew's Jewbelation Eleven.

21. I live in Iowa City and am lucky to have "teh awesomeness" that is
John's Grocery (www.johnsgrocery.com), so I have access to MANY beers that can't be found in an awful lot of places! I'm not familiar with the Black Butte and have not looked for it as a result, but I can tell you that I've seen pretty much the whole range of products from Rogue, along with some stuff from Bear Republic - I just had their Racer 5 IPA a couple of weeks ago. I can't find Stone around here, but did find some when I visited my Mom in upstate N.Y. over Thanksgiving. I wasn't blown away by Stone's IPA, but did enjoy their Pale Ale, and tried a single of their Smoked Porter - very nice as well.

22. Never seen it on the shelves but never asked for a special order either
In Wisconsin, look for anything by New Glarus Brewery (Spotted Cow, Fat Squirrel, etc...). In Minnesota look at Schell's Brewery (avoid Pale Ale, look for Zommerfest in the summer), also avoid anything by Gluck Brewery (St Cloud area).
